EGYPT!

After a long afternoon of walking around Luxor and getting lost. We all were tired and cranky...

Ian, Annie, Jenna, me, Hannah, and Rachelle with our Cokes so we wouldn't get sick

Mt Sinai with Megan my roommate on the Egypt trip!

Sunrise on Mt. Sinai!

An amazing experience! We got up at 2am and hiked up to the top in time to watch the sunrise. It was freezing on top, but completely worth it to watch as the sun spilled over the mountains and filled the desert with sunlight. I loved the hike!
After watching the sunrise, we split into our bus groups and had a testimony on the mountain. We sang High on a Mountain Top.

An Old Church in Old Cairo
Lunch at Hard Rock Cafe in Cairo on Friday

This is Bob Marley- my trusty Camel
Cary and I in front of Queen Hatchepsut's Temple. Cary is sporting his Egyptian dress. Don't worry, all the men wear them there

King Tut's Tomb in the Valley of the Kings. Incredible!

Kissing the Sphinx! The only action I'll be getting all summer long

The picture doesn't capture just how BIG these things are!

Swimming in the Red Sea!

Day 1 on the the Egypt adventure:
We left the JC at 6:30 am and stopped throughout the day at fieldtrip sites:
-Tel Beersheba
-Sede Boker
-Tel Avdat
-Machtest Ramon
-Kibbutz Yotvata Tour and dinner
-swam in the Red Sea

We stayed at a Kibbutz in Eliot, right on the border of Israel and Egypt. After getting into our hotel a big group of us went to the Red Sea to go swimming. It was so much fun, and a little scary swimming in the dark. The water was so warm! It felt amazing.
Of course we all had to "liberate" ourselves in the water. So now I can say I've been skinny dipping in the Red Sea
