Today for lunch was my favorite food here: Falafel!
It's fried chick peas that are formed in balls and put in a pita with humus and cucumbers and lettuce and bell peppers. Mmm so good.
So I tried to come up with something clever to go along with Dad's infamous Ode to Oatmeal, but I guess I'm just not as clever.
But- I will highlight two of my favorites in this blogpost:
Faluccas and Falafel.
A Falucca is a small sail boat they have all up and down the Nile. We took 2 falucca rides while in Egypt. The first was on our way to and from our camel safari along the banks of Nile.
Then we took a falucca from our hotel to the Karnak Temple. Not a bad way to travel!
Falafels will be the death of me here. I go crazy over the humus and pita! They sell swarma and falafel all over the Old City.
