View from my balcony!

So I actually took this picture a couple weeks ago when the roses were all in bloom. They have since died, but it's still an awesome view! I love sitting out here and reading and trying to soak in the fact that I'm in Jerusalem!

Here's another snippet from Mandy's vignette on our experience here:

Jerusalem, means city of peace. Jerusalem, so frequently connotated as a land of turmoil, unrest, violence and war. Suffering, tears, and yet- to so many it remains home. Jerusalem, the Holy Land, the place where our prophets walked and breathed the daily air, where God began the history of our people. The history of all people. There is opposition in all things, no place knows this to be more true than Salem, Jebus, The City of David, Jerusalem. The future of this land contains fire, it contains truth, it contains destructions and reunion, bliss and horror, the end and the beginning, a land described by the absolute meaning of bittersweet.
